Our collegial group of experienced family practitioners invites you to join them. We are looking for a permanent, full time GP with emergency skills to perform clinic work with 4 other physicians in an unopposed group practice. Obstetrical skills appreciated but not required. Emergency on-call coverage is 1 in 4 and our goal is 1 in 5. Positions can also be suitable for two physicians wishing to share a part-time practice.
Practice Details
Permanent, full-time GP with emergency skills to perform clinic work with 4 other physicians in an unopposed group practice. Obstetrical skills appreciated but not required. Position could be suitable for 2 physicians who wished to share a part-time practice.
Qualifications
ACLS (mandatory); CMPA Membership (mandatory); PAL (desired); ATLS (desired); Obstetric Experience (desired); Emergency Experience.
Facility Descriptions
Private clinic located 124km north of Kamloops in south central British Columbia. This friendly town's economy is primarly forestry with tourism growing in importance. This area, full of natural resources provides year round outdoor recreational activities (hiking, river rafting, fishing, hunting, golf, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling and more). A modern hospital with 6 acute care beds, a 6 stretcher emergency room, and an attached 21 bed residential care facility. Services provided include: 24hr emergency services, diagnostics (Lab/X-Ray), physiotherapy, home and community support servics, public health and itinerant services such as diabetes education and nutrition services.
The Physicians' Clinic is located 2kms from the hospital site. An Ambulance Station is located at the hospital site.
